We are hiring an IT Software Test Engineer, IT Quality Assurance!
Reporting To: Manager and Team Lead
Full-Time/Part- Time: Full-time

Grade: 8.4
Office Location: Toronto, ON Great location! Steps away from the main public transit station

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Ability to think independently, problem solve, and grasp new concepts quickly.
• Ability to design and developing robust and reusable automation test framework & infrastructure from scratch.
• Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., C#, Java, JavaScript)
• Strong capability and desire to learn and innovate in a changing environment.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills are crucial for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to self-motivate, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

• Bachelor of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related (technical) degree.
• 2-3+ years of experience as a software development engineer in Test (SDET), or a similar role.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, software testing principles, and quality assurance processes.
• Experience using C#, Java or JavaScript and Selenium WebDriver as automation testing tool.
• Experience with source configuration tool (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
• Proficiency with SQL and an understanding of relational database systems
• Experience using API/service testing tools (SoapUI, Postman)
• Experience in TestComplete, Protractor, Cypress, or Playwright is an asset.
• Development background is an asset.
• Understanding of agile practices and the Scrum framework.
