REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Computer Science or related field;
  • At least 5 years of IT experience in a retail or distribution environment;
  • Functional bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written (The person must communicate outside Quebec);
  • Knowledge of multiple IT applications and their use in a business context;
  • Knowledge of software development and quality assurance methodologies;
  • Basic understanding of programming languages, including SQL, .NET, and web development languages (PHP, Java, JavaScript);
  • Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and IT infrastructure, including cloud computing;
  • Good knowledge of the Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Under the supervision of Applications and Development IT Director, the holder of this position will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of IT solutions, both in project and support modes, so that they operate smoothly, securely, and sustainably. He.she is responsible for technology monitoring, ensuring alignment with the purpose of technological solutions, as well as their evolution and optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the integrity of all IT solutions, both in project and support modes;
  • Design efficient information flows and integration tools for new projects;
  • Participate in discussions among technical experts to develop robust and sustainable solutions;
  • Act as a business partner with the company’s various business lines and maintain a global vision of organizational challenges;
  • Participate in and support the proper use of existing systems according to business processes (e.g., WEB, ERP, OMS, etc.);
  • Implement IT processes and ensure they are well understood and followed;
  • Work closely with other IT department teams and external partners;
  • Share knowledge with IT team members;
  • Contribute to documenting IT solutions;
  • Ensure IT solutions comply with cybersecurity standards;
  • Monitor emerging technologies and propose new projects or solutions;
  • Ensure that all technical aspects of software and hardware are integrated efficiently to meet business needs and requirements while maintaining security and sustainability;
  • Establish strong business relationships with partners and vendors to maximize their contribution to the company;
  • Participate in budget planning and ensure compliance with allocated budgets.
