Acutronic is looking for an IT Specialist to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our IT staff as needed to ensure stable and reliable operation of the IT environment in our young but fast-growing Aerospace Components Division. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all endpoints, servers, and network hardware/software infrastructure. Our ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional experience in an equivalent role and working knowledge in Helpdesk methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.

YOUR PROFILE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • At least five years of professional experience in an equivalent role
  • Microsoft and/or CompTIA certifications are preferred
  • Microsoft Intune experience is nice to have
  • Knowledge of applications such as data backup, malware protection, VPN, firewalls is preferred
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft Hypervisor is preferred
  • Expert knowledge in Helpdesk methodologies and troubleshooting techniques are preferred
  • Experience in a Public Safety, defense, or aerospace environment is preferred
  • Must be flexible and willing and able to work outside normal business hours as necessary (very limited need)

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and respond to new support requests (“tickets”) in a timely manner with action taken based on priority.
  • Proactively communicate with users to determine support needs, and apply analysis and troubleshooting techniques to resolve concerns in a timely manner
  • Maintain our Government Microsoft 365 environment
  • Install and update software and hardware as needed to ensure stable operation of the IT infrastructure
  • Build and maintain user endpoints (laptops/desktops) when received from vendors as well as for future modifications/expansion.
  • Configure user accounts on new devices and ensure each user can successfully login and access all needed software applications
  • Configure and manager user accounts of ERP and other internal tools
  • Setup smartphones and assist users directly with apps related to Acutronic software and systems for both Android and Apple devices.
  • Closely collaborate with other domestic IT staff to ensure stable and reliable operation of the shared IT infrastructure and alignment of the strategic direction
  • Generally understand (or learn) ITAR, FedRAMP, and CMMC security requirements to mitigate both site and end-user risk and ensure security of all systems, endpoints, and data.
  • Configure, maintain, and monitor computer networks and systems, including hardware, system software, and applications to ensure smooth and secure network operation
  • Stay current on security risks and ensure security of all systems, endpoints, and data. Take part in implementing security improvements and system upgrades
