Our client in Mississauga ON who is a international delivery solutions provider is looking for an IT Specialist/Systems Administrator to join their team!

This position features:

  • Salary: $65,000-$75,000/year + bonuses

Benefits:

  • 3 weeks vacation

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm-Fully on site!
Employment Type: Full time permanent

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Security Management or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT security, physical security, or infrastructure management
  • Candidate does not need to have cybersecurity experience they already have a department for this
  • Logistics, E-commerce, SME, & Enterprise industry is an asset
  • Understanding & knowledge of protocols such as API (Application Programming Interface), FTP (File Transfer Protocol), & CSV (Comma Separated Values) file transfer
  • Excellent communication
  • Well versed in the IT field, they need to hit the ground running
  • Self directed as they will be the only IT person in Canada
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite & very tech Savey
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Go to person for all IT related (Network, hardware, software) topics

Internal IT:

  • Support operations team with Hardware set-up & software updates
  • support sales department with pre and post sales IT integrations
  • Ensure licensing and software is up to date (MS, Adobe
  • maintain service, equipment, & VOIP systems
  • Set up employee laptops & workstations
  • Reset internal servers as needed
  • Update mail machines

Internal Security:

  • lead incident response, disaster recovers, and business continuity strategies
  • Oversee visitor access control, maintain visitor logbook & badges and enforce building entry/exit protocols
  • conduct building inspections (interior/exterior)
  • Manage CCTV, badge access, personnel list, & alarm system
  • conduct training for staff on cybersecurity procedures
  • Assist the director with due diligence reports

External-Customer Focus:

  • provide new customers details information about integrations specifications
  • trouble-shooting & offering customers technical user training
  • work with customers IT teams
  • Support any RFI’s & RFP’s as required
