Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the IT infrastructure for several entities, including a home office, a manufacturing plant, a chain of gyms and a movie theater. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills and have a broad understanding of both hardware and software troubleshooting in a dynamic environment. Additionally, while networking is handled by an outside vendor (Virtual World), the IT Specialist will act as the key point of contact for all IT-related needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software & Hardware Support: Oversee and maintain IT systems and hardware at all locations, ensuring all systems are up-to-date, running smoothly and optimized for performance.
  • Excel Expertise: Leverage advanced Excel knowledge to analyze and generate reports, automate tasks, and provide insights to various teams within the company. Experience with macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and Excel VBA is a plus.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide timely and effective troubleshooting for IT-related issues, including hardware failures, software malfunctions, and network connectivity (with the support of our external vendor, Virtual World).
  • End-User Support: Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related support requests. Offer training and guidance to staff members on software applications and hardware usage.
  • System Updates & Security: Ensure regular system updates, patches and security protocols are followed to protect company data and infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Support and execute IT projects, including hardware and software upgrades, implementation of new systems, and integration across locations.
  • Travel: Perform day trips in the South Georgia area to support the IT needs at all company locations. The home base for this positions will be the manufacturing plant.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: minimum of 3 years IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-location business environment.

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, data analysis, macros, pivot tables)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
  • Experience working with a variety of IT systems, including desktops, servers and cloud-based applications

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
