JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role involves working closely with end-users to resolve issues, maintain network infrastructure, and support various software applications. As an IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our technology resources.

IT Specialist Role Overview:

  • Identity and Access Management (user provisioning/deprovisioning)
  • Administer servers, desktops, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, desktop phones, tablet PC and smartphones.
  • Ensure workstation IT equipment requirements are set up for new team members.
  • Manages the Active Directory infrastructure - users, groups, policies, permissions. Configure and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security and compliance. Oversee Domain Name System, Remote Desktop Services, file sharing and printer services
  • Hypervisor management - Monitor and maintain virtual machines (VMs), resource allocation, perform backups, snapshots, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Configures, tests, and deploys physical and virtual network equipment and deploys network security software at our on-premises and remote locations (WAN, LAN, WLAN, bridging)
  • Monitor hardware for security, availability, and performance
  • Maintain systems security through implementing policies, patching, and installing antivirus software
  • Ensuring all device configurations align with best practices.
  • Resolve user issues with PC, peripheral devices, or other equipment (or escalate to vendors help desks) from local and remote users
  • Demonstrate new hardware and software to end users and team members
  • Oversees building security systems, physical access control systems, backup completions
  • Maintains compliance with licensing agreement.
  • Maintain third-party software, licensing, and compliance.

SKILL SET REQUIRED:

Networks:

  • Subnetting, virtual networks fundamentals
  • Networks troubleshooting

Hardware:

  • PC block troubleshooting and repair
  • IP Cameras and NVR setup and support
  • VoIP telephony setup

Software:

  • Windows Server 2022

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
