Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Reporting to the System Administrator, the IT Specialist serves as a bridge between system administration and front-line IT support. This position assists with the management of servers, workstations, and cloud environments (Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace), oversees IT projects and new installations, administers the help desk, and supervises the IT Technician to ensure high-quality service delivery across the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in managing servers, network infrastructure, user accounts, backup systems, and cloud platforms including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Lead tech installations, hardware/software rollouts, and support office expansions; supervise the help desk and provide escalation support.
  • Manage IT Technician, maintain accurate IT documentation and inventory, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, maintain effective interdepartmental communication, and serve as a technical resource.
  • Model Goodwill’s values, attend meetings/events, and represent the organization positively with external partners.
  • Stay current with technology, recommend system improvements, and provide after-hours support as needed
