JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT Generalist to join our production plant team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of IT skills and experience, with the ability to manage and support various technology systems and infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our production plant’s IT environment, providing technical support, and implementing IT solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, network management, and common software applications. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments. Strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly to minimize downtime.
  • System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates on IT systems, including servers, workstations, and network equipment. Ensure all systems are running efficiently and securely.
  • Network Management: Monitor and manage the plant’s network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Ensure network security and optimal performance.
  • Software Management: Install, configure, and update software applications used in the production plant. Assist with software licensing and compliance.
  • Data Management: Ensure data integrity and security by performing regular backups and implementing data protection measures. Assist with data recovery efforts as needed.
  • User Training: Provide training and support to plant staff on IT systems and applications. Develop user guides and documentation to assist with common IT tasks.
  • Project Support: Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades, new technology implementations, and process improvements. Collaborate with other departments to understand and address their IT needs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
