Job Details Job Location: I Kitagawa and Company, Ltd - Hilo, HI 96720 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $20.02 - $25.03 Hourly SUMMARY: Provides technical support, maintaining and troubleshooting the Company’s computer systems, networks, and software to ensure smooth, secure, operations. Responsible and accountable for the following area: Information Technology Specialist Level 1 for I. Kitagawa & Co., Ltd. and affiliates (hereinafter called Company). Affiliates Include: DSD, IK Motors, Inc. dba Kamaaina Motors, Kamaaina Nissan, Kona Auto Center, Inc, and Parts Center Hawaii, Inc. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Maintains a thorough knowledge of all Company computer systems. Maintains a thorough knowledge of networks in relation to schematic wiring and computer setup. Maintains a detailed charting of the hardware of the Company and its systems for purposes of risk assessments and audit tracking. Updates and maintains domain maps for all company locations. Updates and maintains asset management system. Maintains thorough knowledge of the software of the Company and its systems. Maintains a complete hardware chart to identify all computer hardware of the Company. By company, department, and individual workstation. Maintains a complete software chart is maintained to identify all approved computer software of the Company and the applicable license in effect. This is to include internet/system requirements for the respective manufacture. Ensures the Company that only approved hardware and software is utilized with the assigned system. In addition, notifies the CISO in a timely manner, when unapproved software must be removed. Implements security measures and policies. Installs and updates Company software and hardware as needed, Provides end-user support by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner. Coordinates all hardware maintenance, updates, and repairs with the CISO of the Company. Maintains library of required literature for respective software providers and security documentation. Installs and maintains individual workstations, this to include printer and computer components. Processes Tech Support Tickets from the ticketing system in a timely manner. Completes assigned Tech Support Tickets in a timely manner and maintains all relevant documentation. Maintains a daily activity log for historical reference to include installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance done. Maintains documentation of assigned Tech Support Tickets in the Tech Support Management Board. Completes and remains current with all mandatory manufacturing, safety compliance, safeguards, and cybersecurity training. Maintains a safe work environment. Ensures that the work area is kept clean. Maintains a professional appearance. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Oversees and monitors authorized 3rd Party vendors completing equipment upgrades and repairs on applicable equipment and systems. Reports any issues immediately to the CISO. Assists with network equipment installation and upgrade, as assigned by the CISO. Assists in ensuring all security updates and patches on various systems are implemented and kept up to date. Assists in maintaining back-up equipment to minimize down time with any workstation. Assists in risk and vulnerability assessments performed by the Tech Support Department. Work on and/or assist with any projects assigned by the CISO of the Company. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Working onsite in Hilo, Hawaii (this is not a remote position) EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-2 Years of Experience in Information Technology (IT) CompTIA A+ Certification or Equivalent Work Experience/Certification Strong problem-solving skills. Security + Certification or Equivalent is strongly preferred COMPUTER SKILLS: Network fundamentals Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting Experience with various operation systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) Proficient with Email & Communication Experience with repairing and building computers, printers, and other network hardware. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memorandums. Ability to write simple correspondence. An ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management, customers, clients and employees of the organization. Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
