Description SUMMARY DESCRIPTION Assist in Help Desk response and coverage. Works in conjunction with Network Administrator to inventory and update credit union workstations and install new PCs. Troubleshoot system problems and outages and work with application upgrades and installations as needed. Entry level training into hardware and software. CORE COMPETENCIES Assist with products and services which correspond to Credit Union objectives on Data Processing system and supporting applications. Assist with troubleshooting software PC’s and IT devices. Responsible for keeping inventory up to date. Performs daily systems checks and assists in maintaining server logs. Competent listening and communication skills are essential in succeeding in this position. To be able to correctly determine the issue(s) for which the client is calling about and determine resolution. Learning the basics for of the products and services which correspond to Credit Union objectives on Data Processing system and supporting applications Maintain and manage VOIP phone systems Works on special projects as assigned. Performs other functions as directed or needed. Develop, implement, and maintain application software ranging from moderate to medium complexity, to established standards and specifications. Modify acquired application software using tables, profiles, and other vendor supplied customization tools to reflect approved changes specified by users. Implement approved changes to application software to maintain currency standards, correct problems, and modify or enhance applications function and security. Provide technical support and operations assistance to end users, prepare application software procedures and documentation for use, operation, back-up and recovery, problem resolution, shut-down and initialization, and process automation. Document new programs or changes to existing programs. In cooperation with the end user, test application software to assure accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness to achieve desired results. Train users and validate ability to use and run applications. Document testing and training results Continues to improve with a quality mind-set, and a proactive approach to problems, projects and goals. Displays a positive attitude towards member credit unions and co-workers. Be willing to lend a hand when needed. Communicates clearly and effectively through verbal, written, and listening channels. EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training/experience, or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree with graduation within one year. EXPERIENCE Two to three years of computer experience. One year of computer programmer experience preferred.
