Description
SAIC is hiring an Information Technology Specialist with experience in providing military customers excellent deskside customer service. The position is based in Stuttgart Germany. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities: Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs, and peripherals on NIPR, SIPR and TS networks. Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware. Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades. Providing full lifecycle support of the campus infrastructure including network installation, tuning, testing, monitoring, upgrading, patching, break/fix, defense, and management of the campus routing and switching infrastructures, including network hardware Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines. Installing, maintaining, and assessing current and future telecommunications systems and equipment. Supporting messaging services including email, chat, and VTC sessions on behalf of end users to ensure proper operation Installing new cable. Terminating and testing new cable. Testing and troubleshooting faulty cable. Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues. Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems. Troubleshooting, analyzing, and isolating the root cause of problems that arise Recommending courses of action to return impacted systems to full operational status Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment. Communicating both orally and in writing, with staff at all levels internally, with oversight agencies, with the private sector and with senior government executives. Must meet DOD 8570 / 8140 Compliance (Security+ or Higher) Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI upon hire Familiarity with COCOM operations Bachelor's Degree & 2 years of experience 6 Years experience with no degree Desired Qualifications: CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ CCNA BMC Remedy and Service Now Experience
