Description IT Specialist Job Summary: The IT Specialist position reports to the IT Manager and will closely match the required responsibilities and skills detailed below while also assisting with maintenance of existing vendor relationships with numerous software vendors and technology partners. The IT Specialist’s Primary Responsibilities will be to respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests, completing tasks independently whenever possible while escalating issues to and working alongside IT Management or the appropriate vendor when additional support is necessary. This position is not remote and will be based in office in Knoxville, TN. Additional responsibilities include: Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, scanners, routers, modems etc. Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary Assisting in monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks Ensuring Privacy and Security of all computers and network systems Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests Assisting in providing training and technical support across the company User account creation/maintenance Assisting with testing and vetting new technology initiatives IT Specialist Skills: Baseline knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles Attention to detail for repair and system documentation Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective communication skills Working knowledge of diverse computer systems and networks Working knowledge of some of the below technologies: Microsoft: Server, Workstation, Access, Office, M365, Exchange Online Dell: Server/Desktop/Laptop hardware Apple: iPhone, iPad Requirements IT Specialist Experience: Prior professional IT experience required Experience with any of the following is a plus but not required: Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, Firewalls & VPN’s, Ubiquiti, Remote Desktop Services, Quest Rapid Recovery, Hyper V Virtualization, VMWare Familiarity with or willingness to learn HIPAA/HITECH requirements to ensure patient privacy IT Specialist Other Requirements: High School Diploma or GED 1-2 years of verifiable work history 3 years clean driving history with a valid Tennessee driver’s license Eligible to currently work in the United States.
