SKILLS & COMPETENCIES EDUCATION:

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in IT support with a focus on AV systems is preferred in similar domain.
  • Experience with Oracle Simphony Point of Sale system, SevenRooms Reservation Systems with Interfaces.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Expertise in AV equipment, including soundboards, projectors, microphones, and video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based applications.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity practices.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and organization.
Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

The IT Specialist will support the IT team in ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting issues, assisting in system maintenance, and providing technical support to employees to ensure optimal performance across the organisation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DAILY DUTIES TECHNICAL SUPPORT:

  • Provide first-level support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Assist the team with technical queries and provide guidance on system usage.
  • Maintain an IT helpdesk, logging and tracking tickets to resolution in a timely manner.
