Description The IT Specialist ensures reliable operation of workstations and peripheral systems, supports end users, and assists in maintaining network performance. Responsibilities include help desk support, system administration, and collaboration with IT leadership on updates and improvements. Requirements Key Responsibilities Provide help desk support for hardware, software, and user issues. Maintain and update workstations, peripherals, and related software. Deploy operating system and application updates in coordination with IT Administrator. Monitor help desk ticketing system and generate status reports. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software problems. Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Recommend and implement upgrades, patches, and new equipment. Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of hardware/software. Support network performance and assist with infrastructure installations. Develop system and database reports using reporting tools. Provide user training and ensure adherence to security best practices. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in IT or related field and 2+ years of experience. Preferred certifications: Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent. Strong understanding of IT concepts, best practices, and regulatory standards. Ability to follow established guidelines while exercising problem-solving skills. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
