As our IT Specialist, you'll take ownership of our office technology and IT infrastructure, ensuring our team has a reliable, modern, and well-supported environment to work in. This is a hands-on role where you'll spend most of your time managing hardware, networks, workplace technology, and IT operations. You'll also provide day-to-day technical support to colleagues during normal working hours, but this isn't a traditional helpdesk position or one that requires after-hours support. If you have an interest in IT security, there will be opportunities to help strengthen our security practices and contribute to future improvements. What you'll be doing IT Infrastructure & Workplace Technology Own and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including office networking, Wi-Fi, meeting room technology, workstations, printers, and shared office equipment. Configure, deploy, maintain, and upgrade laptops, desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices. Keep our IT environment running smoothly by planning improvements, maintaining documentation, and ensuring systems are reliable and up to date. Evaluate and introduce new technologies that improve the workplace experience. IT Operations Manage hardware procurement, software licensing, inventory, and the full lifecycle of company IT assets. Administer core business platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, and other business applications. Handle employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing devices, managing user accounts, and ensuring equipment is ready for new starters. Work with external vendors and suppliers when needed. Technical Support Be the go-to person for internal IT support during normal office hours. Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and workplace technology issues. Help colleagues get back up and running quickly while continuously looking for ways to reduce recurring issues through better processes and tooling. Nice to Have An interest in IT security and cybersecurity best practices. Experience with endpoint management, MDM solutions, firewalls, backups, or identity and access management. A proactive mindset for improving device security, access controls, and overall IT resilience. What we're looking for 4+ years of experience in an IT Specialist, Systems Administrator, Workplace Technology, or similar hands-on IT role. Strong experience supporting Windows and/or macOS environments, networking, hardware deployment, and modern workplace technologies. Experience managing Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the company's IT environment. A practical, organised, and proactive approach to solving problems. Friendly and approachable, with great communication skills and a genuine desire to help colleagues succeed. An interest in IT security is a bonus, but not a requirement, we're happy to support someone who wants to grow in this area.
