We are recruiting for a position at our Houston, Texas location(s) for a qualified IT Support Specialist - Manufacturing Systems. Summary The IT Support Specialist - Manufacturing Systems provides first level support for business and manufacturing systems, including MES, ERP, and other internal applications. This role supports both office and production users by troubleshooting system issues, assisting with system usage, and maintaining daily system operations. The position works closely with operations, quality, and business teams and escalates more complex issues to the IT Manager or system owners as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Business Application Support Provide day-to-day support for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Office Automation (OA), and other internal systems Manage and resolve system support tickets and document resolutions Troubleshoot issues reported by users and assist with system functionality, data entry, and reporting Escalate system issues requiring advanced configuration or development to the IT Manager or system owners Manufacturing Systems Support Support MES systems used on the production floor Assist with troubleshooting production issues related to MES transactions and data collection Work with operations and quality teams to ensure production and quality data is captured accurately Support shop floor system interfaces, terminals, and related equipment ERP and System Implementation Support Assist with ERP, MES, and internal system implementations and upgrades Support basic system setup, testing, and documentation during deployments Participate in User Acceptance Testing and help validate system changes Coordinate with IT and business teams during system updates Business Process and Data Support Work with Accounting, Human Resources, Operations, and Leadership to support system related processes Assist with report generation and troubleshooting Help maintain data accuracy and consistency across systems Assist with improving system usage and workflows User Training and Documentation Provide basic user support and guidance on system functionality Create and maintain documentation, user guides, and troubleshooting notes Assist with onboarding and training new users Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred Relevant experience in business systems support may be considered in place of formal education Experience supporting ERP, MES, or similar systems preferred Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred Experience providing user support and troubleshooting system issues 1-3 years of experience in IT support or business systems support preferred Exposure to manufacturing systems or shop floor operations is a plus Technical Skills 1-3 years of experience supporting SAP S4 HANA or similar ERP systems preferred Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, or similar platforms required Basic understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) preferred Experience with reporting and business data analysis required General understanding of ERP and manufacturing system integration preferred Understanding of information security best practices such as access control and password management Familiarity with standards such as TISAX or ISO 27001 preferred Soft Skills Strong customer service mindset with a sense of urgency Clear communication and good organizational skills Detail-oriented and adaptable team player Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Willingness to travel between locations as needed Benefits Competitive salary and performance-based bonus Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance) Short-term and long-term disability coverage 401(k) with company match Paid vacation, sick time, holidays, and floating holidays Career growth opportunities in a fast-paced, global environment
