JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly skilled General 24/7 Tier 1 Support Specialist Sr. to provide continuous IT support for Space C2 and the ATLAS suite of applications. This role involves real-time system monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and escalation to maintain uninterrupted operations. The specialist will handle password resets, system restores, service requests, and coordinate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams while ensuring compliance with DoD and Space Force cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-security, fast-paced, 24/7 environment and plays a critical role in mission readiness and operational stability.
Compensation Minimum: $80,000
Compensation Maximum: $90,000
Job Requirements:

IT HELP DESK REPRESENTATIVE – SENIOR SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

• Current active TS/SCI clearance is required
• 6+ years of experience in IT services contracts with similar complexity and workload
• Strong background in Tier 1 IT support, troubleshooting, and real-time incident escalation
• Expertise in account/password resets, system restores, response checks, and failover procedures during system failures
• Proficiency in submitting and managing service requests via KM Jira Helpdesk
• Ability to initiate Tier 2 support recalls and coordinate after-hours incident response
• Skilled in monitoring dashboards, analyzing system trends, and documenting anomalies
• Experience generating and maintaining detailed system health reports using dashboards and call tree procedures
• Proficiency in documenting off-nominal conditions using screen captures, logs, and user-reported symptoms
• Experience reporting system deviations in end-of-shift reports, detailing affected software, symptoms, and timestamps
• Familiarity with 18th SDS, Space C2 & KM configuration management, and cybersecurity teams to implement system changes and respond to outages

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

• High School diploma
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II
• CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ or ITIL (preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
