The IT Subject Specialist for Cloud Drupal will lead the administration and optimization of the BEA’s Drupal-based public website and supporting infrastructure. This role requires a blend of CMS expertise, cloud operations, and security best practices to ensure the functionality, reliability, and security of the website.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 46 years of Drupal administration experience, with cloud-hosted deployment experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Drupal architecture and the LAMP stack.
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning and CDN configuration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Git-based version control and DevOps workflows.
  • Solid knowledge of web accessibility and federal web standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain the BEA’s Drupal CMS environment in a LAMP stack.
  • Install, update, and configure Drupal core, contributed modules, and themes.
  • Manage user roles, access controls, and security policies within the CMS.
  • Optimize performance using caching tools (e.g., Varnish, Memcached) and CDN integration.
  • Troubleshoot Drupal-related issues and implement bug fixes.
  • Monitor and apply Drupal security updates and patches.
  • Support deployment and version control workflows using Git.
  • Document configurations and procedures, and provide training to internal teams.
  • Contribute to cloud governance recommendations to improve cost, performance, and compliance.
