Florida Blue is seeking 2026 summer IT interns Florida Blue's Remote IT Summer Internship program is designed to give college juniors, seniors, and graduate students a hands-on look at our business processes and the tech systems that power them. Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to bring AI capabilities to life and integrate solutions that drive efficiency and innovation. To succeed in this role, you'll need: A strong foundation in Natural Language Processing (NLP) with a solid grasp of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals Proficiency in transformer-based architectures and working knowledge of large language models (LLMs), with applied experience in leveraging open-source LLMs strongly preferred Proficiency in programming languages like Python, with expertise in frameworks like TensorFlow and/or PyTorch and LangChain Data manipulation and statistical analysis skills A passion for generative AI that drives you to push boundaries and explore new possibilities A background in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, etc. is preferred. Experience with business analysis tools and techniques, such as use cases, user stories, and process mapping. Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience with SQL database is preferred. Behavioral Science The Behavioral Science team is in high demand across our enterprise. Interns will work with senior members of the team to leverage data and behavioral science insights to improve the well-being of our members, address specific business issues, and formulate insight-based recommendations linked to strategic and financial outcomes. Interns will contribute to literature review, data analysis, experimental design (A/B testing), survey design, creation and implementation of recommendations. To succeed in this role, you’ll need: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, Decision science, Behavioral economics, Data science Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of R or Python is a plus.
