Description

The IT Supervisor at JMA Pediatrics plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our technological infrastructure.
This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional IT support to our organization. The IT Supervisor collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to implement and maintain IT solutions that support the company mission and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field with 510 years of qualified IT supervisor experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT support and administration, with 510 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.
  • 510 years’ experience with Active Directory, user management, server hardware, virtualization, storage, networking and switching, designing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure (both cloud and onpremises).
  • Strong technical expertise in networking and WiFi, system administration, cybersecurity, with proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Entra admin center, Azure AD connect, and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies administration (HyperV, and Citrix). Managing and maintaining large server infrastructure. Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019 and later, and iOS operating systems.
  • Experience with NAS, data backup and recovery, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience in patch automation, security remediation, Powershell scripting and group policy management.
  • Experience with firewalls, LAN/WAN technologies, SDWAN, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP Network protocols.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare IT, including HIPAA compliance and Meaningful Use standards, strongly preferred. Epic and Veradigm (formerly Allscripts) experience is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of IT professionals.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong problemsolving, analytical and decisionmaking skills, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions to IT challenges, including root cause identification.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the IT team, including IT technicians and support staff, to ensure the timely and effective delivery of IT services and support.
  • Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to promote data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.
  • Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, installations, and migrations, from planning and implementation to postimplementation support.
  • Be highly engaged in persontoperson support of end users (providers, managers, supervisors, data/analytics, Clinical/Front office staff).
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders and staff to assess IT needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze IT performance metrics, such as uptime, response times, and service levels, to identify trends, address issues, and optimize IT infrastructure and resources.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment, software licenses, and support services, ensuring costeffective solutions that meet organizational requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to endusers, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, conducting training sessions, and creating user documentation as needed.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in healthcare IT to advise leadership on strategic IT initiatives and investments.
