POSITION OVERVIEW:

The IT Support Analyst position works as a member of the Information Technology team to extend 1st and 2nd level support to local and remote end users. This position deals with issues or problems that often require thoughtful evaluation before coming up with approaches or solutions. This position must develop and maintain good working relationships, resolve problems, and positively influence others to successfully produce customer satisfaction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years of IT-related experience.
  • Working knowledge of LAN topologies and architecture.
  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve desktop system issues in a timely manner.
  • Technical proficiency in areas relating to computer hardware, computer operating systems, and desktop applications.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and new system implementation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex situations independently.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, and administration.
  • Ability to provide effective support to other departments, requiring tact and situational judgment/awareness.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology.
