APPRENTICESHIP OVERVIEW:
Salary: £15,000 – 18,000 during first year (salary will increase after year 1 of apprenticeship).
Working Week: Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 4pm (30 minute break)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Apprenticeship: Level 3 IT Solutions Apprenticeship standard qualification 18 Months duration.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The IT Support Technician Apprentice will a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the IT equipment and infrastructure for all onsite and remote systems utilised at GLP Training at head office, the 3 Build Block centres in Worcester and the equipment utilised by field teams working at employers sites, trade shows and field based homeworkers located around the country.
The role involves maintaining and updating current systems including AR and VR systems, planning IT resource usage and requirements, researching new technologies, responding to IT support requests, assisting staff and learners with IT-related issues. You will also play an integral part in the company’s Cyber security programme in ensuring the company complies with GDPR rules and regulations.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
· Resolving IT issues and service requests
· Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software.
· Managing user access to systems and networks
· Supporting cybersecurity and compliance with GDPR and data protection laws.
· Assisting staff and students with IT-related queries and training.
· Contributing to IT projects and supporting system upgrades.
· Installation of hardware and software on workstations.
· Setting up new users onto the network and online services
· Setting up, checking and packing away sets of tablets, laptops, AR/VR equipment etc Highlighting any issues so that need to be addressed.
· Offer support to other team members to help them troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests.
· Proactively inform stakeholders of changes, issues and resolution times.
· Perform tasks set out by your line manager.
· Setting up new equipment
