We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Assistant to support the organization’s day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining, configuring, and securing our technical infrastructure, ensuring smooth functioning across our internal systems, platforms, and digital tools. This role is essential to the organization’s fundraising and marketing activities, ensuring all tech stacks are optimally functioning and secure.

Reporting To: Global Senior Data Services & IT Manager
Location: Remote / Hybrid
Number of Positions: 1
Terms: Seasonal (6 Month Contract) – 25 hours per week
Deadline to Apply: Ongoing until position is filled

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an IT support, systems assistant, data entry, or administrative support role.
  • Experience working with raw data, generating reports, or supporting programmatic or research functions is beneficial.
  • Experience with cloud storage platforms (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox).
  • Proficiency with email platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) as well as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including working with formulas, filters, and data validation tools.
  • Experience with payment processors (e.g., Authorize.net, Cybersource, Stripe, PayPal).
  • Familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp).
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar) is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of data cleaning, reconciliation, and backup processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
