Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support & AV Technician to support end-user technology across multiple platforms and maintain reliable audio/video setups for conference rooms. This hybrid role requires hands-on experience with Windows and macOS, a strong understanding of network cabling and infrastructure, and the ability to install, support, and maintain AV conferencing systems such as Logitech Rally, Cisco Webex, or Microsoft Teams Rooms.
You’ll ensure that employees can work efficiently and that meeting spaces are fully equipped for hybrid collaboration. A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle is required, as occasional travel between office locations is necessary.
Key Responsibilities: End-User IT Support:
- Provide daily support for Windows 10/11 and macOS devices (desktops/laptops)
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and standard software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook)
- Support users with hardware issues, application errors, login/account access, and device setups
- Maintain and document asset inventory and support activities in the ticketing system
- Deliver excellent customer service in-person, via phone, and remote tools (e.g., AnyDesk, TeamViewer)
Network Cabling & Infrastructure:
- Perform physical cabling (CAT5e/CAT6) for workstations, conference rooms, and network equipment
- Terminate Ethernet cables and patch panels; test and label cabling runs
- Work with switches, access points, and network closet setups as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized approach to infrastructure wiring and installation Audio/Video & Conference Room Setup:
- Install and maintain conference room audio/video systems including displays, cameras, microphones, and speakers
- Set up and support Logitech, Cisco, Poly, and Teams/Zoom Room AV hardware
- Troubleshoot video conferencing issues (sound, connectivity, video quality) during meetings
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for AV upgrades and room deployments
- Ensure all meeting rooms are “plug and play” and ready for daily operations
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in an IT support or technician role
- Strong hands-on experience with both Windows and macOS platforms
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Excel, Word)
- Familiarity with common AV platforms: Logitech Rally, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms
- Experience with network cabling, rack mounting, patch panels, and labeling standards
- Basic networking knowledge (IP, DHCP, DNS, switches, routers)
- Ability to lift and install equipment (TVs, speakers, cables) when required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is a must (for onsite travel as needed)
Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
- CompTIA A+ or Network+
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
Work Environment:
- Office-based with regular movement between desks, conference rooms, and network closets
- Occasional travel to satellite office locations for installations and support
- Must be comfortable working under desks, lifting monitors/TVs, and managing cables
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
