The ALS Northern Europe region is a part of the ALS Group. The sub-region consists of approx. 600 employees with laboratories in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
Location: Odense, Denmark

SKILLS AND BEHAVIORS:

  • Windows clients and servers (physical and virtual)
  • Helpdesk ticketing systems (ticket lifecycle, ITIL basics)
  • Demonstrated ability to create end-user guides, how-to guides, and technical process guides
  • Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a laboratory or ISO-regulated environment
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery technologies (e.g., Veeam Backup).
  • Office 365 – knowledge including Teams, Exchange Admin & SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, including Group Policy Manager
  • Strong communication skills with a patient and understanding approach to resolving user issues.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to remote sites for IT service provision and maintenance activities.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a support engineer within an enterprise environment
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Danish is essential.
Responsibilities
  • Record and address incidents/service requests, through our helpdesk system.
  • Oversee, set up, and maintain server room equipment and IT devices for end-users.
  • Set up and monitor backup processes and disaster recovery plans.
  • Contribute to a range of IT projects, supporting delivery and implementation. Work closely with other IT teams to ensure cohesive IT operations and project alignment.
  • Maintain and update IT-related documentation and work with internal and external auditors and provide necessary IT-related compliance evidence.
  • Communicate and coordinate with third-party support and vendors.
  • Travel to various locations for on-site resolution of issues not manageable remotely.
