Description
Global Shared Services IT (GSS IT) is the DNV IT organisation responsible for delivering a wide range of IT capabilities and services to business units, corporate units, and end-users worldwide. With over 400 employees globally, GSS IT serves as the internal IT service provider for DNV, playing a crucial role in system evaluation, development, and integration. We are currently seeking an IT Engineer to join our Digital Workplace team based in Pune, India to provide second-line IT support to staff across India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh; ensuring exceptional service standards for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role involves proactive and reactive problem-solving, adherence to SLAs, and collaboration with internal teams and vendors to maintain seamless IT operations. Key responsibilities includes: Deliver second-line IT support for incidents and service requests. Diagnose and resolve hardware issues; coordinate with Dell support for replacements. Record all activities accurately in BMC Remedy. Collaborate with Real Estate & Procurement (Rem Proc) for office cabling design and IT setup during new office projects and relocations. Guide users and managers on IT hardware procurement via our procurement solution (Basware Cloud). Manage IT equipment purchasing and installation across regional offices. Ensure machines are under warranty; arrange replacements or renewals as needed. Implement processes for equipment disposal and recycling, including secure hard drive shredding and vendor certification. Provide basic end-user training and contribute to the knowledge base. Maintain organized server rooms and discard unused equipment. Monitor customer satisfaction and meet performance targets. Coordinate with server/network teams and vendors for maintenance and WAN provider access. Ensure compliance with GDPR and security policies.
Responsibilities
