Job Req Number: 117363

Time Type: Full Time

Move forward as an IT Support Engineer at DSV in Schiphol.

IT, hardware, and customer contact. You keep things running. Do you love variety, get energy from technology, and have an affinity for logistics? At DSV, you work with demo equipment, configure and test hardware, help customers with IT questions, and process returns. As an IT support engineer, truly no day is the same! Team up with us. DSV.

You get it done.

As an IT support engineer, you combine technology, IT, and logistics in one versatile role. You configure and test demo equipment, ensure everything is ready for customers, and provide IT support when needed. Returns are also part of your job; you check the equipment, process it, and ensure everything is ready for the next request. This keeps the entire process running smoothly and ensures our customers can count on high-quality and well-functioning equipment. Together, we ensure everything works as it should: you play a part in it.

How do you do this? As an IT support engineer, you deal daily with everything related to IT and demo equipment. From configuring and testing laptops, tablets, and servers to assisting customers and checking returns. You ensure that everything works and ends up in the right place. You achieve this by:

  • to prepare demo equipment for shipment and check, process, and make returned devices available again for stock;
  • guide demo requests from start to finish and ensure that the right equipment reaches the customer at the right time;
  • assist with logistical handling, including carefully packing, labeling, and shipping equipment;
  • to coordinate with customers regarding the necessary technical requirements and configurations and liaise internally with various teams to ensure that the right equipment is available and ready for use;
  • performing technical checks and diagnoses, building, configuring and extensively testing laptops, desktops, servers and other IT equipment;
  • Support customers and colleagues both remotely and on-site during demos, events, and client projects.

Your team stands out within DSV due to short lines of communication, technical expertise, and a can-do attitude. You work with three colleagues who, just like you, get excited about hardware and high-tech. Together, you ensure that demo equipment works, returns are processed correctly, and shipments leave the warehouse on time. It's simply nice and practical: getting the job done together while having fun doing what you do.

We are DSV, we are growing.

DSV is a global provider of transport and logistics services. With offices in more than 90 countries and a growing network of partners, there is no place in the world we cannot reach via air, sea, rail, courier, or road transport, or where we can offer warehouse storage.

Work with the latest technology, dive into challenging projects, and bring your technical passion to life every day, says Martin Bostock, Warehouse Manager.

In the Netherlands, we work from over 40 locations with more than 5,000 colleagues. Together, we take on the challenge brought about by a rapidly changing environment. We make quick decisions at every level and combine ambition and teamwork. This is how we move forward and make a difference together.

You bring along

  • a structured and accurate working method, in which procedures and work instructions are carefully followed;
  • good communication skills in English, both spoken and written;
  • Experience building and configuring PCs and servers, and installing and customizing operating systems. Knowledge of the Intel product portfolio is a significant plus;
  • the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with technical specialists;
  • A practical and methodical approach, with an eye for quality, reliability, and a good end result.

It all counts for this IT support engineer vacancy at Schiphol. Furthermore, it is of course important that you feel at home with us. That will certainly work out well if you like to get things done, have guts, and want to grow with DSV.

You will receive:

Working at DSV means working for one of the top players in the logistics market. DSV is entrepreneurial, competitive, and always wants to grow as an organization. That is why we are looking for people who want to grow with us. In addition to a challenging job in an international environment, we also offer:

  • Salary dependent on knowledge and experience with a maximum of €3,200.00 gross per month, based on 40 hours per week, supplemented with 8% holiday allowance;
  • space for yourself. This way, you enjoy 28 vacation days (on a full-time basis) for time with friends and family;
  • a favorable pension scheme, part of which is premium-free and an employee contribution of 5%;
  • personal growth through our DSV Academy and external training in logistics or other relevant fields;
  • and last but not least, extra benefits, such as our bicycle plan scheme and the tax-free program with which you receive a net discount at shops and sports clubs.

Move forward.
