We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join our friendly IT team providing on site and remote IT Support to our business in the UK and Ireland. The role is based at our Bristol office.
You’ll be supporting colleagues when they encounter challenges with computers, software, mobile and network devices. Managing IT on/offboarding for new hires and leavers as well as conducting office / desk moves and set-ups. There will also be the opportunity to get involved in the delivery of a range of IT related projects.
This is an interesting and dynamic role. IT play a key part in providing and supporting the services required for the wider business to deliver innovative and exciting projects across key sectors such as Aerospace, Defence and Automotive.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers, software, mobile and network devices.
  • Building / imaging IT equipment and mobile devices for new starters and changing user requirements.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems.
  • Record and update all IT requests and incidents accurately and thoroughly through the company’s IT Service Management system.
  • Working with the team to support and carry out project work and new office installations / office moves.

Essential skills:

  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft 365 with the ability to support and help Users with the general M365 tool set.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling good verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently using your own initiative.
  • Professional attitude, able to demonstrate care and attention to detail whilst being polite and helpful with stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • A willingness to learn.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years experience working within a customer facing IT Support role, supporting a user base in a typical Windows desktop environment.
  • Experience of working with ITIL aligned IT Service Management software. Able to manage own ticket queue in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Experience in building/imaging laptops & desktops, preparing mobile devices, printers, audio conferencing equipment etc.
