IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Location: Dungannon
Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Join a well-established, family-run manufacturing business in Dungannon as an IT Support Technician. We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on professional to support and maintain our growing IT systems and infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys problem-solving and working as part of a dedicated team.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent teamworking and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Confident working independently and on own initiative
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required (including occasional weekend support)

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • 6+ months’ experience in a factory or manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with CAD software
  • Basic knowledge of CNC programming
  • Experience with SQL and/or AlphaCam (preferred, not essential)
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Level 4 IT qualification or equivalent

EDUCATION:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

At least 1 year in technical/IT support (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Support the rollout and development of the new ERP system with the IT Team
  • Provide day-to-day support for all IT systems, hardware, and office peripherals (PCs, printers, barcode scanners, etc.)
  • Monitor and resolve helpdesk tickets, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Maintain clear communication with staff regarding ticket progress and technical issues
  • Keep IT documentation up to date for standard resolution processes
  • Perform routine maintenance and complete daily task checklists
  • Assist in IT projects initiated by the Site IT Manager
