THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate for this position will have at least2 years + experience within the IT support sector (or relevant qualifications in a related IT field) A driving license is required for this role due to the expectation of remote site visits.

KEY SKILLS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

  • Windows Desktop support.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft apps (Outlook / Office / OneDrive / Teams etc)
  • Service desk experience (ZOHO / Zendesk /Freshdesk or similar an advantage)
  • Mobile phone support (IOS and Android)
  • Active Directory administration (Hybrid environment)
  • Microsoft 365 backend knowledge (Exchange / SharePoint / Microsoft admin centre) Microsoft Intune experience preferred.
  • Networking knowledge covering DHCP / DNS / TCP/IP, Local Area Networks, VPN and WAN. Experience with Unifi networking equipment a bonus.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies.
  • Able to install, configure, upgrade and relocate PC hardware, software and print devices.
  • Experience of PC hardware troubleshooting and problem solving.
    Any qualifications such as MCSE, CompTIA would be highly beneficial towards your application, in addition to other IT qualifications (the role would be suitable for postgraduates looking to begin their career in IT)

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

Here at Latus we have ambitious growth and strategic plans to grow our business over the next year. With this in mind, we are looking to grow our teams and require like minded and professional people to support our journey, we now have a requirement for self-driven and highly motivated person to come in and build on their expertise in the support sector and complement the existing team. This role will be based out of our Head Office location in Hull with weekly visits expected to Salford to touch base in person with the rest of the IT support team. In addition, some visits to sites in the Hull / Grimsby area will be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working in the IT support Team being one of the first points of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over our contact channels (phone / email / in person and via our ticketing system)
  • Triaging problems raised by internal colleagues via our helpdesk.
  • Responsible for handling support of service requests which relate to all technology including workstations, mobile phones, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.
  • Providing remote /telephone and in person support. This may involve visiting our other sites in the Hull / Grimsby Area along with one day a week on our Salford office in Manchester.
  • Able to work autonomously being the primary IT contact in our Hull office.
