IT Support Engineer (Fintech / Trading Environment) Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Work Mode: Onsite Employment type: Permanent Our client is a leading player in the e-commerce and digital services market, recognized for its innovative approach and extensive reach. We are seeking a highly capable and self-driven IT Support Engineer to support a fast-paced fintech trading environment. Responsibilities Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers in production environments. Manage and maintain VMware virtualization platforms (ESXi, vCenter), including provisioning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Perform system monitoring, patching, upgrades, and incident resolution. Ensure high availability and reliability of trading platforms and backend systems. Support and manage network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs. Troubleshoot network issues impacting business-critical systems. Work with vendors/providers on escalations and network optimization. Manage enterprise storage environments including SAN/NAS solutions. Administer backup and recovery systems using Veritas Backup (NetBackup/Backup Exec). Ensure data integrity, backup success, and disaster recovery readiness. Manage and support Windows Active Directory (AD), including user provisioning, group policies, and access controls. Administer Microsoft 365 (O365) services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure AD. Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for infrastructure and production issues. Conduct incident management, root cause analysis, and problem prevention. Participate in rotational on-call support for critical incidents (if required). Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base. Requirements Must-have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Strong hands-on experience with RHEL Linux administration. Experience with VMware virtualization technologies. Experience in network management and troubleshooting. Experience with storage technologies (SAN/NAS). Experience with Veritas Backup solutions. Experience with Windows Active Directory administration. Experience with Microsoft 365 (O365) administration. Nice-to-have: Exposure to cloud platforms such as Alibaba Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure. Scripting/automation knowledge (e.g., Bash, PowerShell). Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira). Experience in financial services, fintech, or trading platforms.
