We are expanding our IT Operations team in Wakefield with an IT Support Engineer

The Role n

We are looking for a proactive and technically capable IT Support Engineer to join our IT Operations team, supporting a user base of over 700 colleagues. This is a hands¿on role that sits at the heart of day¿to¿day IT operations, working closely with the IT Operations Manager, IT Managers and wider IT team to ensure systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose.

You will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the organisation’s IT infrastructure, contributing to operational stability, security compliance and continuous improvement. The role also offers exposure to wider IT projects and collaboration with third¿party suppliers, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and responsibility within an operational IT setting.

Key Responsibilities n

• As IT Support Engineer, you will support the delivery and maintenance of the organisation’s server, network and Active Directory environment, ensuring systems operate effectively and in line with information and cyber security policies. You will administer and maintain core IT tools and technologies, keeping documentation accurate and up to date, and supporting the IT Operations Manager with software updates, patch management, renewals and requisitions to maintain compliance and system integrity.
