IT Support Engineer | Perth | Full-Time | $60,000 – $75,000 + SuperSharp & Carter are currently working with a growing Managed Service Provider in Perth that is looking for an experienced Support Technician to join their expanding service desk team.

Following a recent acquisition, the business is continuing to grow and is looking to hire multiple Support Technicians.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career within an MSP environment, gaining exposure to a broad range of clients, technologies and support issues while working alongside an experienced technical team.

The role is fully office-based in Perth’s southern suburbs, with some flexibility around working hours. The team operates across 7:00am–3:00pm, 8:00am–4:00pm and 9:00am–5:00pm shifts, depending on the individual and business requirements.

About the Role

You will be the first point of contact for a range of technical support requests, providing friendly and efficient L1 support across Microsoft 365, Windows environments, end-user devices and common workplace technologies.

You’ll be responsible for resolving issues where possible, following established processes and escalating more complex issues to the wider technical team with clear documentation and troubleshooting steps.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phone, email and portal requests, logging, categorising and prioritising tickets within the PSA
• Troubleshoot and resolve L1 issues within agreed SLAs
• Maintain clear and accurate ticket notes
• Escalate more complex issues to L2 with troubleshooting steps and findings clearly documented
• Assist with user onboarding and offboarding
• Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint issues
• Assist with password resets and MFA support following identity verification procedures
• Troubleshoot Windows 11 devices and Microsoft 365 applications
• Support printers, mapped drives, VPN connectivity and other common desktop issues
• Identify and escalate phishing attempts, suspicious sign-ins and unusual user requests

What They’re Looking:

• Previous experience in an L1 Service Desk, Help Desk or Desktop Support role
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows 10/11 environments
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good troubleshooting and ticket management skills
• Exposure to an MSP or client-facing support environment is highly regarded
• A methodical approach to troubleshooting and documentation
• The ability to follow processes, particularly around security and user verification
• A willingness to learn and develop your technical skill set
