JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Support Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, hardware, and software. This role involves troubleshooting issues, assisting users, and maintaining IT infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Or equivalent in experience
  • Experience: Previous experience in an IT support role is preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems: Essential for identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Software Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve software issues, including application errors, system crashes, and performance problems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills: Crucial for effectively addressing and explaining solutions to users.
  • Critical thinking skills: Enables logical analysis and effective problem resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously: Ensures efficient handling of various troubleshooting tasks.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms: Important for troubleshooting software across different environments.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles: Helps in identifying and mitigating security-related software issues.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with IT units in different time zones to ensure seamless support and coordination.
