Role Summary
Kalandoor Group is seeking a capable and service-oriented IT Specialist to manage and support the company's day-to-day IT infrastructure, systems, users, and technology operations. The successful candidate will ensure reliable operation of computers, networks, business applications, data, communication systems, and IT security across office, factory, and project-site environments. The role will work closely with management and all departments to resolve IT issues, maintain system availability, support business applications, and identify opportunities to improve technology efficiency. Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare periodic IT status, incident, cybersecurity, asset, server, backup, and performance reports for senior management.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data management, automation, reliability, and cost efficiency, and recommend suitable technology solutions to management.
- Prepare and maintain IT documentation, including network diagrams, firewall configurations, server records, Active Directory/DNS information, asset registers, backup procedures, user procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Coordinate with internet, telecom, software, hardware, cybersecurity, and other IT vendors to obtain quotations, arrange services, and resolve technical issues.
- Monitor system and network performance, identify faults and potential risks, and take preventive action to minimize downtime.
- Support business applications used by management, finance, HR, procurement, production, design, and project/site teams, escalating application-specific issues when necessary.
- Support and manage IT infrastructure across office, factory, and project-site environments, including connectivity, computers, printers, CCTV/access-control related systems, and other technology requirements as applicable.
- Manage the company's IT assets, including computers, servers, network equipment, printers, software licenses, warranties, subscriptions, and other technology assets, maintaining an accurate asset register.
- Maintain and monitor regular data backup procedures, backup integrity, recovery processes, and disaster-recovery readiness.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, antivirus/EDR, security updates, vulnerability management, access controls, incident response, and security awareness.
- Administer user accounts, access rights, passwords, Microsoft 365/email accounts, shared folders, and other business systems.
- Manage and maintain DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, domain services, and other core network infrastructure services.
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory, including user and computer accounts, groups, organizational units, Group Policies (GPO), permissions, authentication, and access control.
- Administer Windows Server environments, including server installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, patching, backup, and troubleshooting.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, security policies, access controls, VPNs, and network security controls to protect company systems and data.
- Manage and maintain company networks, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, internet connectivity, and related infrastructure.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to employees, including troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system, email, printing, and connectivity issues.
- Ability to support multiple departments and respond to IT requirements under tight deadlines, including occasional factory or project-site support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic or Hindi/Malayalam is an advantage.
- Proficiency in IT support, monitoring, ticketing, asset-management, security, and reporting tools/software.
- Strong documentation, organization, problem-solving, and vendor-management skills.
- Experience with CCTV, access-control systems, structured cabling, or other low-voltage/IT-related systems is an advantage.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, server, network, security, and user-access issues efficiently.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting servers, storage systems, backups, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and core IT infrastructure.
- Experience with IT asset management, software licensing, warranties, inventory control, lifecycle management, and IT documentation.
- Good understanding of data management, data protection, backup and recovery, retention, access permissions, and disaster-recovery principles.
- Practical experience with cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection/EDR, antivirus, patch management, vulnerability management, access control, and security incident handling.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, email systems, printers, desktop hardware, and common business applications.
- Strong practical knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, network monitoring, and network security.
- Proven hands-on experience managing Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and enterprise network infrastructure.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, network administration, cybersecurity, or a similar IT role.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
