QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar IT Manager role.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out new IT systems.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Office 365 suite.
  • Good working knowledge of cloud-based systems.
  • Full UK driving licence as travel to other sites essential.
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

This role will provide day to day management of ICT, and related systems, and support the delivery of key ICT projects that help drive the Charity’s strategic and operational plans.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the charity’s network infrastructure and ICT based applications.
  • Day to day management of all IT operations ensuring all requests are dealt with in an efficient manner.
  • Providing technical advice, training and support to staff to enable them to make effective use of systems.
  • Manage ICT and systems contracts, ensuring they meet service level agreements and support management in raising any concerns or with renewals.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Ensure relevant policies and procedures are being applied and updated, reporting any significant risks.
  • Manage Annual IT Budgets ensuring budgets are adhered to ensuring cost effectiveness.
  • Creation of IT service reports as required.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to aid in the development of the Charity’s IT strategy.
  • Co-ordinate IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems.
  • Assist in executing IT changes effectively, taking into consideration the requirements of relevant departments across the charity. Provide training to staff if necessary.
  • Anything else reasonably requested by the management of the charity.
