JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated IT Support Manager to look after IT needs (Office 365, Sharepoint, Macs). We are 50 FTEs business operating in Manchester, London and Dublin. We want to start with 3m contract which could lead to a full time role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in desktop support, software troubleshooting, and computer networking. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to analyse complex technical issues while providing effective solutions. As an IT Support Manager, you will ensure that our IT infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting the needs of our organisation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years experience in supporting Office 365, Sharepoint and Macs.
  • Proven experience in a technical support role with a focus on desktop support and software troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and their functionality.
  • Familiarity with LAN configurations and networking principles.
  • Proficient in using technical support tools such as Remedy for issue tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the IT support team (Office 365, Macs), ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Onsite support in Manchester office with possible monthly trips to London / Dublin.
  • Provide desktop support for hardware and software problems, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
  • Manage and maintain computer hardware, including installation and upgrades.
  • Ensure reliable WiFi, LAN connectivity and troubleshoot network-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to understand their technical needs.
  • Analyse system performance and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for staff on IT systems and best practices.
