ABOUT THE JOB

Are you passionate about technology and solving technical challenges? MR MARVIS is seeking a dedicated IT Support specialist to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you’ll be providing critical support across both our office and retail locations, ensuring seamless operation of all our systems. From troubleshooting day-to-day issues to managing cybersecurity protocols, you’ll be an integral part of our IT infrastructure, helping to shape the technology backbone that supports our ambitious growth.

Responsibilities
  • Helpdesk Support: Troubleshoot issues with software, hardware, and networks for both office and retail environments.
  • Cybersecurity: Implement and manage security protocols and ways-of-working to protect our data and internal systems.
  • Email & Communication Tools: Manage and troubleshoot company email systems, collaboration tools (Slack, Google Suite), and video conferencing setups in our meeting rooms.
  • Device Inventory Management: Keep track of hardware (computers, mobile devices, POS systems (iPads)) used across both office and retail locations.
  • Device Configuration & Deployment: Setup and deploy new computers, POS systems, mobile devices, and other peripherals for office and retail use.
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM): Manage company-owned mobile devices used in retail and office environments, including remote troubleshooting and updates.
  • Software Licensing & Updates: Ensure all software used in the company is up to date and properly licensed. Assign and revoke licences when needed.
  • Point of Sale (POS) System Support: Set up, configure, and troubleshoot retail Shopify POS systems, including hardware and software.
  • Network Management for Stores: Set up and maintain network connectivity for new retail locations, including secure Wi-Fi access for staff and our systems.
  • Store-Specific Tech Support: Provide on-site or remote technical support for retail staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software used in-store.
  • Networking Support: Maintain office networks, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN configurations, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Printer and Scanner Maintenance: Install and troubleshoot networked printers, scanners, and other shared devices.
  • Hardware Procurement & Asset Management: Handle procurement and management of IT assets like laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
  • IT Policy Documentation: Document IT policies, including usage guidelines for hardware, software, and security protocols.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT service providers, software vendors, and hardware suppliers.
