Description

About Crew Services Group

Crew Services Group is a leading Australian retail services business delivering field operations, merchandising, store support, installations, shopfitting and racking solutions to some of Australia’s largest retailers and brands.

As our business continues to grow and diversify, we are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Category Manager to join our team and take ownership of key service categories, customer opportunities and growth initiatives.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused IT Support Officer to provide day-to-day technology support across United Petroleum.

The role will be responsible for maintaining reliable IT operations, supporting employees with hardware and software issues, administering systems and user access, and working with external IT providers where required.

This position suits someone who is hands-on, responsive and comfortable supporting a fast-paced, multi-site workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to employees.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, email and connectivity issues.
  • Set up and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.
  • Create and maintain user accounts, permissions and system access.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive environments.
  • Assist with business applications, cloud platforms and mobile applications.
  • Maintain IT asset registers, licences and equipment records.
  • Coordinate with external IT, telecommunications and software providers.
  • Support office internet, Wi-Fi, printers, phones and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor cybersecurity practices including MFA, password security, device protection and user access.
  • Assist with system upgrades, software implementation and technology projects.
  • Maintain IT procedures, documentation and system records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and automation.
  • Provide timely support to employees across Australia and, where required, remote/offshore teams.

About You

You will have strong technical troubleshooting skills combined with a practical, service-focused approach.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk or systems support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
  • Experience managing users, devices and access permissions.
  • Understanding of networking, cybersecurity and cloud-based systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical employees.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple support requests and work independently.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on preventing issues rather than simply responding to them.
