PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma / Degree in IT or another Technical discipline.
  • Any experience in an FMCG, fast-paced, high-volume, high-tech manufacturing environment with demonstrable and transferable skills.
  • Any related Industrial IT work experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Industrial Manufacturing Systems knowledge and competence in problem-solving.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools.
  • Proficient numerical ability to record, interpret, and analyze key process data.
  • Appetite for challenge and aptitude for change in a fast-paced 24/7 FMCG environment.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Reporting to the Industrial IT Manager, you will be responsible for the administration, day-to-day support, development, and security of the Industrial applications, ensuring that equipment, software, and hardware are up to date with patches, antivirus, and software versions.
Providing support on MES issues in production areas, assisting relevant groups on problem resolution, continuous improvement, and involvement in short- and long-term projects, which will involve interacting with all departments in problem-solving and resolution of issues.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Disaster Recovery

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND KPI’S

  • Act as a support IT contact for all industrial functions including Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Quality & Engineering. Responsible for solving issues, driving enhancements, and improving support for all IT-related functions: application support, infrastructure support, and service delivery.
  • Support MES applications which include Siemens, WISE MES, GEA, Wonderware.
  • Support Oracle, SQL, OPC, Firebird Applications.
  • Support, develop, and enhance Access Control, CCTV, Security systems, Infrared Cameras, Visual Camera.
  • Participate in new projects, project enhancements, and application upgrades for MES applications with third parties and local teams.
  • Ensure Servers, Desktops, and Laptops are up to date with security patches, antivirus, and software versions.
  • Ensure Security on all devices including Firewalls, WiFi, LAN, WAN are up to date.
  • Support all aspects of Hardware including CISCO, Siemens, PLCs, VPN.
  • Continuous Improvement in all Industrial areas of responsibility to drive and enhance systems, automation, ways of working, and productivity.
  • Support hardware including Zebra, Scanners, Laser printers, Label printers, touchscreens, networking.
  • Ensure Compliance with IT security for all applications and systems.
  • Develop training, support, and deliverance of SOPs.
  • Drive correct usage, maintenance, and development of all Industrial IT systems.
  • Participate in new Digital initiatives and programs to enhance and develop systems to Industry 5.0 standards.
  • Encourage teams to reassess and develop enhancements to improve their working environments and systems.
