JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical support and customer service, providing assistance to users while maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting software and hardware issues, managing computer systems, and ensuring seamless operation across various platforms.
This role is responsible for first line support across the AirWay Group and backup support for the TXO Group (parent company of AirWay). You will be the first point of contact for IT related issues across the AirWay Group. You will manage support tickets through the Group’s ticketing system and keep users/customers updated with information throughout the course of an incident.
After appropriate training, you will also resolve incidents and support requests. You will demonstrate good interpersonal skills and have the desire and ability to foster strong working relationships both internally with technical teams and office staff, and with our customers and clients.
Due to the nature of the business, some out of hour’s work might be required. Additional duties may be required as the position evolves.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality of service.
  • Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with software troubleshooting techniques and desktop support practices.
  • Understanding of computer hardware components and their functionality.

QUALIFICATIONS (ESSENTIAL)

  • Thorough knowledge of Windows operating systems and in-person deskside support is essential.
  • Basic knowledge configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing Windows workstations, Office 365, and video conferencing software.
  • Basic knowledge of IP networking, Firewalls and virtual server systems.
  • Experience of Windows Server, AD, Group Policy and NTFS.
  • Cyber Security knowledge
  • Must be able to lift 35-40lbs

QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED)

  • College degree.
  • Previous experience working in an IT Support role, and administration and use of network monitoring software.
  • Exposure to VMware.
  • Understanding of Cyber Essential principles.

    Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support all network infrastructure equipment, including servers, routers, switches, access points, firewalls etc.
  • Manage and support all network related software, including web servers, DNS, print services and Active Directory.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and deploy hardware such as computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Support Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Manage and support our cyber security infrastructure in conjunction with our 3rd party cybersecurity vendor.
  • Document helpdesk items and internal processes and maintain clear, accurate work instructions. Also maintain policies, procedures and documentation for all related systems.
  • Establish relationships and work with vendors and contractors to negotiate and procure hardware and software.
  • Perform other IT related duties as may be assigned.
