Title: IT Support Specialist
Department: IT
Function
This position reports to the IT Support Supervisor and is responsible for staff support and maintenance regarding hardware, software, printers, voice systems support, and other necessary IT-related devices.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Provide support to end users on a variety of hardware and software issues.
· Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
· Respond to internal telephone calls, emails, and the Helpdesk for technical support (first point of contact for all users).
· Document, track, and monitor problems in the Helpdesk to ensure a timely resolution.
· Setup new computer hardware and software for users.
· Phone system end-user configuration — RingCentral cloud platform.
· User management in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID environments.
· Train users in application software.
· Maintain and troubleshoot network printers.
· Install software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, fixes, and resolve any related problems.
Required
· Sound knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID — users, groups, and permissions.
· Able to troubleshoot and configure workstations in a Windows networking environment.
· Basic understanding of networking principles and concepts.
· Exceptional conceptual and analytical problem-solving abilities.
· Experience in non-standard auto insurance a plus.
· 3+ years related work experience in a Windows-based network environment.
Qualifications
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task.
· Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work under critical deadlines.
· Strong troubleshooting and excellent communication skills.
