OVERVIEW

We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our team. This dynamic role involves providing comprehensive technical support to ensure smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades with a strong customer service mindset, capable of handling a wide range of technical tasks, from resolving user issues to performing hands-on installations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in IT support or a related role, with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Windows, Linux and mobile operating systems (iOS, Android).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience with running Ethernet cables.
  • Experience with hardware setup, including computers, phones, and security camera installations.
  • Experience with VOIP phones
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with non-technical users.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform tasks in confined spaces for cable runs or equipment installations.

  • Device Setup and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain hardware such as desktop computers, laptops, mobile phones, printers, and peripherals.
  • Infrastructure Tasks: Perform physical IT tasks, including running network cables, installing security cameras, and setting up workstations or conference room equipment.
  • System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain IT systems, ensuring updates, patches, and backups are performed to minimize downtime.
  • Documentation: Document support tickets, processes, and configurations to maintain accurate records and improve team efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
  • On-Call Support: Provide occasional after-hours or emergency support as needed to ensure business continuity.
