About the Role: The IT Support Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the technological infrastructure and ensuring seamless IT operations within the organization. This position is responsible for providing timely and effective technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime. The specialist will manage and troubleshoot network connectivity, administer Microsoft Windows environments, and support Microsoft Exchange services to maintain communication systems. Additionally, the role involves configuring and supporting mobile devices and remote troubleshooting to assist users regardless of their location. Ultimately, the IT Support Specialist ensures that all IT systems operate efficiently, enabling the organization to achieve its business objectives without disruption. Minimum Qualifications: * Proven experience in network administration and IT support roles. * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Exchange. * Experience with help desk ticketing systems and remote troubleshooting tools. * Familiarity with network cabling standards and network connectivity troubleshooting. * Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users. Preferred Qualifications: * Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar. * Experience supporting mobile device management (MDM) platforms. * Knowledge of advanced network security principles and firewall management. * Prior experience working in a fast-paced corporate IT environment. * Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud-based services. Responsibilities: * Respond to and prioritize support requests received by phone, email, or in person related to hardware, software, networking, and other IT issues. * Set up, troubleshoot and provide training for end-user devices and peripherals (keyboards, mouse, printers, and monitors and other equipment). * Install and support business applications while assisting users with troubleshooting and training needs. * Maintain and resolve issues with phone and communication systems. * Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, including network and internet access problems. * Create an IT service desk system to log, to track, and resolve support tickets efficiently. * Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure reliable access to servers, systems, and applications. * Help monitor system performance, network reliability, and overall IT security. * Develop and update technical documentation for systems and processes. * Provide on-site IT support at branch locations. * Install, maintain, and troubleshoot audio/visual equipment. * Manage mobile devices, including setup, troubleshooting, and user training for mobile apps and tools. * Maintain inventory of mobile devices and accessories, including ordering as needed. * Partner with internal teams to deploy standard system images on desktops and laptops. * Work alongside security teams to identify and address vulnerabilities within desktop environments. * Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills: The IT Support Specialist utilizes network administration skills daily to maintain and troubleshoot network connectivity and cabling issues, ensuring reliable communication channels. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Exchange is essential for managing user accounts, permissions, and email services, which supports organizational communication.
