Mancan is assisting a local Charleston company with a project completing a 3 month upgrade on their systems.
Contract Entry-Level Helpdesk / Windows 11 Upgrade Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an entry-level IT professional to assist with our Windows 11 upgrade project and provide first-level helpdesk support. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, enterprise environment supporting desktop systems and end-users.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Familiarity with imaging tools and desktop deployment processes (e.g., MDT, SCCM, or similar tools)
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Prior experience with helpdesk ticketing systems is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required; IT certifications or relevant coursework is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Perform Windows 11 upgrades from Windows 10 on laptops and desktops
  • Image and deploy new hardware with Windows 11 and standard software packages
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues
  • Handle first-level helpdesk support, including:
    o Password resets
    o Email login issues
    o Printer connectivity and functionality problems

o Basic network or application access support

  • Maintain accurate records of upgrades and ticket resolutions
  • Assist users in a professional, courteous, and customer-focused manner
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior technicians or engineers as needed
