IT Support Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for providing technical support to employees, resolving IT issues, monitoring email security systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Help Desk:
- Respond to and resolve IT support tickets related to hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist employees with troubleshooting computer, printer, and software problems.
- Provide support for user accounts, password resets, and access management.
- Set up iPads and computers for new employees
- Provide technical support over the phone for employees in the field
IT Security & Monitoring:
- Monitor company email security systems for threats, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access.
- Take proactive measures to mitigate security risks and escalate issues as needed.
- Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
Project & System Support:
- Follow up on IT-related project requests to ensure timely completion.
- Assist in setting up new workstations and configuring software for employees.
- Maintain and update documentation on IT processes and troubleshooting guides.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with other IT team members to resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide clear and friendly technical guidance to non-technical users.
- Communicate updates and solutions effectively through email, chat, or in-person interactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows/Mac operating systems and common software applications.
- Experience with email security monitoring and cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote desktop support tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (VPNs, firewalls, DNS, etc.).
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications (a plus).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
