Strong Data Automation develops and supports transaction software for the solid waste industry in North America. Our growth in the past five years has been explosive thanks to the unwavering dedication of our tight-knit team.
We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to help clients in all corners of North America, particularly Newfoundland & Labrador. This work-from-home position may occasionally require visiting solid waste sites across the province. The candient must live in the general Gander area.
Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
- Answering support calls, tickets, and emails
- Guiding end-users through troubleshooting
- Creating email user accounts, resetting passwords
- Support & install printers, IP cameras, and other IP-based hardware
- Running cable, terminating ethernet connections
- Using multiple online meeting platforms (Teams, Google Meet, Zoom etc.)
- Attending daily online meetings with the team
- Occasionally working paid extended hours
- Other support-related activities, mostly performed remotely
Required skills and Knowledge:
- Comfortable with Microsoft OS (Windows 10 +)
- Familiar with Command line tools (command prompt, PowerShell, etc.)
- Network file sharing via NAS, Mapped drives, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to work with multiple Email platforms (Outlook, Web-based mail, etc.)
- Familiar with networking concepts (IP addresses, DNS, etc.) and troubleshooting network connectivity problems
-Able to work at heights.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
