We teach, inspire, and serve one another every day.   About the Role We are seeking an entry-level IT Support Specialist to join our team supporting the Chicago Region. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, helping others, and building foundational IT skills in a collaborative environment.   You will provide day-to-day technical support to employees, assisting with hardware, software, and connectivity issues while ensuring a smooth and positive user experience.   Key Responsibilities * Identifies, investigates, and resolves users’ problems with computer software and hardware * Fields support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, printing, and similar concerns * Consults with users to determine steps and procedures taken to identify and resolve the problem * Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems * Guides users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions * Collaborates with other staff to research and resolve problems * Arranges service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products * Prepares for new employee by setting up hardware and system access * Manages the process for departing employees * Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends * Performs other related duties as assigned * Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required Required Qualifications * Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite * Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and technologies * Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests Preferred Qualifications * Associate degree in Information Technology or related field; equivalent experience considered What We Offer * Hybrid work schedule with the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays * Flexible Fridays, with a 36-hour workweek Monday through Thursday and a half-day on Friday * Eligibility for bonus programs tied to individual, team, or organizational goals * Generous paid time off, including bereavement leave * Eight weeks of paid parental leave for all parents * Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance * Employer-provided basic life and AD&D insurance * Short- and long-term disability coverage * 401(k) retirement plan with opportunity for employer contributions * Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), with eligibility after six months of employment * Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities * A supportive, collaborative work environment that values community and growth Learn More About FGMA To learn more about our work, culture, and employee-owned structure, visit our website: www.fgmarchitects.com [http://www.fgmarchitects.com/].   Equal Opportunity Employer FGMA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
