Job Description We are seeking an IT Support professional to join our dynamic team in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, South Africa. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our organization's technology infrastructure and providing exceptional technical assistance to our employees. Respond to and resolve IT-related issues and requests from employees in a timely and efficient manner Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems across various platforms and devices Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripherals Provide technical support through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies and improve systems Document technical solutions and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent issues Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field Proven experience in IT support or a similar role Strong knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues Familiarity with IT security best practices and data protection protocols Experience with IT management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar systems Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical users Customer-focused mindset with a friendly and patient demeanor Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and technologies Knowledge of database systems and basic networking concepts Experience with hardware and software installation and configuration Additional Information We are a 24/7 operation; the ideal candidate must be willing to work nights, onsite in Roodepoort.
