Robert Half is seeking an experienced IT detail oriented to fill a contract role as IT Support Manager while the Senior IT Support Manager is out. This hands-on position requires advanced technical expertise across Windows administration, Office 365, and Windows Server, as well as leadership capabilities to oversee summer interns. A confident and independent individual with strong communication skills will thrive in this role.
Main Responsibilities: Serve as a hands-on point of escalation for ticket resolution with the IT team. Provide seamless support and administration across Windows environments (Windows 11, Active Directory, Windows Server). Ensure proper functionality and support for Microsoft Office 365 tools (Teams, Outlook, etc.) as needed. Assist in managing and mentoring summer interns, leveraging prior management experience to provide effective oversight. Handle under-desk cabling installations and lift equipment as required for technical tasks.
Technical Skills: Strong Windows 11 admin/support experience (Active Directory, Windows Server). Familiarity with macOS support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Teams, Outlook, etc.). Basic knowledge of Slack operations. Background/Experience: 5–6 years of system administration experience. 1–2 years in a managerial or lead IT support role. Proven experience supporting internal end users in a detail oriented capacity. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift IT equipment and perform tasks involving under-desk cabling. Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and customer service skills. Self-sufficient with confidence in handling responsibilities independently.
Nice-to-Have Skills: JAMF or similar MDM experience for macOS support. PowerShell or Bash scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred). Familiarity with AV equipment setup and support for conference rooms.
